The Spring Racing Carnival is the jewel in the crown of Australasian thoroughbred racing and a major highlight of the Melbourne social calendar. Commencing with the first Group 1 of the season, the Memsie Stakes, in late August, the carnival runs for 12 weeks through until Sandown Cup day as trainers from around the world bring their best horses to compete for more than $100million in prizemoney in some of the country’s most iconic races.
The Spring Racing Carnival offers plenty of entertainment, food and drink, fashion shows and most of all, excitement.
